Babu, Babu, Babu

In lieu of a real post, I give you Jeff.

Jeff is my favourite Coupling character, and this is one of my favourite episodes. In the whole thing you first get this bit with Jeff speaking in English and the girl speaking Hebrew. Then we get what you're about to see here, as if we understood Hebrew, so she's speaking English and Jeff's doing gibberish. (And very good gibberish, too, I might add!) Jeff is trying to learn her name, and she thinks - well, you'll see what she thinks.

And now I'm going to try to watch Gosford Park, apparently with the delectable Clive Owen. What, is he gonna be, like 4? I thought this was an older film. Hmm. Guess not. Well, well, well!

After seeing Clive in The Children of Men I admit I have a mancrush on him.

Hey, I speak jibberish like this Jeff guy. I might have to do an audio post just for you. I like breasts too.

Very persuasive gibberish. And seems to work better than the usual pickup strategies.

Gosford Park is a feast - the whole cast is delectable.

Egan - I thought you had a mancrush on Daniel Craig. I have to admit that you have good taste in men. So far Mr. Owen hasn't done anything too debonaire, so he's not shining like he usualy does, but we're only anout 1/2 way through. I hope to watch part 2 tonight. I'm sooooooo confused. I'm having a hard time figuring out who all these many, many characters are and how (and if) they're related. And the soundtrack is so muffled that we have to watch with subtitles. Good thing we're doing that, though, because there are subs for things where I swear there's no sound at all. Maybe those years of working on the 16s have finally taken their toll on my ears. . .

Can you do GOOD gibberish? Where it doesn't all come out sounding repetetive? That's a rare talent. No, seriously. I'd love to hear the audio post. :)

Snow - That one's The Woman With Two Breasts, I believe. Just a scream! :)

Joe - Good point! I don't know if you're familiar with Jeff's character. He always makes a total ass of himself when he opens his mouth (like telling a girl he has a wooden leg, or making it sound like he collects women's ears in a bucket) so in this one, he was thrilled to meet a non-English speaker and was letting fly with all the words that threaten to pop out when he's talking to English speakers ("boobs, tits, gusset" etc.) So much fun!

So far Gosford Park (apart from being aurally challenging - very muffled-sounding) is quite entertaining! And you're right about the entire cast. It's a visual feast! ^_^

Amanda - so far, I say go for it! Want me to tell you if it has a sucky ending? (so far I don't see it heading that way)

So far it's very interesting! (Though confusing - I need a map of who's who :) )

I can't wait for Egan's Monday post! Say breasts a lot, please. Thanks. Tall Chick, I love breasts too, but I REALLY love 16s. Got to see two depart KPDX when I was waiting for my flight to KSMF. And you got to actually TOUCH them?! Sigh......I'm never washing this blog.

Egan - Oooh! It's Monday! Hooray!

Gawpo - Touch them, take them apart, put them back together again, tow them, climb around inside the inlet and exhaust - there were definitely some good times. ^_^
