i turn off lights insesantly candace. soon i will impose what my dad did when i was young...i was charged a quarter each time i left a light on in a room that i was in. it worked!
I used duct tape---the serious stuff---on my last socket covering attempt. I got pissed that the construction workers had ONCE AGAIN!! plugged their compressor into the outlet that can't take that much pull. Boy was I embarrassed when it turned out that the power had gone out.
The first time we went to my daughter's house, I turned on ALL the lights, stereo and TV. THEN I stood in front of the fridge, with the door open, and whined:"There's NOTHING to eat here!"

Hmmm...we have tape on some of our switches, too. How does this make you a Nazi Mama?
No lights in 2 of the bathrooms for a week. I'm tired of finding them on EVERY single time I look. :-P
Oh! That's hilarious!
Don't ever come to my house, then. I leave trails of lights on in my wake.
I hate when there are too many switches for one function! then you never know which is up or down and have to try them all..
I do this at work. What does this make me?
Me: not a fan of switches left up.
That was harsh, Matt. D:
It's funny that you use tape to solve your pet peeve...my pet peeve is wasted tape :)
Have you been talking to my hubby? This is just the sort of thing he would do!
So... I'm curious as to what you will find in the bathroom after a week. Of course, you don't have any boys, do you? So maybe it won't be so bad.
Amanda - LOL! I won't tape your switches. ^_^
Ldbug - oh, I know! I have that going on in the garage. I'm still not sure which is for what after 4 years. :-P
Egan - and EcoNazi?
Egan - so you talk to yourself, too? Glad it's not just me.
Ash - No weezing the juu'uuuice!
Jay - That made me laugh. A lot. ^_^
Claire - I'm pretty laid back about a lot of stuff, but sometimes I snap. ^_^
Diesel - Ack! Good point. I do have 1 boy. I think in a week I'll arm them with rags and cleaner and send them in ahead of me. ^_^

my daughter moves out in a couple of months; bet she won't be leaving the lights on when she has to pay the electric bill
Good for me - Good for you, indeed! I think I'll try that if this fails. :)
Gawpo - D'oh!! ^_^ Ahhhh, Duct tape: the Handyman's Secret Weapon. I do love Red Green. Are you a fan?
Ann - Ha! Truer words were never spoken! ^_^
