Gawpo - We have a 10 Mile, too. And an 11 Mi and a 12 Mi and a 13 Mi and a 14 Mi etc etc ad infinitum ad nauseum. ^_^ Ours are X miles away from a certain point. I wonder if our 10 mi goes all the way to your 10 mi. ;)
I think they pronounce it like that because the object of being a Bostonian is to talk funny. I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere, but don't quote me on it.
Dawn - We're already partway back. We pretty much go year 'round. But we usually add more in the Fall and Winter months. It's a time of exciting new curriculum catalogs, LOL! ^_^
Yes, it could be that the recent high temps have something to do with my enthusiasm. ^_^ Though there have only been a few. This must have been the coolest summer on record in years. We've hardly had to use the A/C at all. The seasons all seem to be just the right length though. I'm usually just getting ready for the new one by the time the old starts to wane. Except for Winter, which has been known to outstay its welcome. ^_^
Logo - But your Fall probably lasts well into our Winter. :)
BABY MONKEY!!
TG - Not even a little? Not even the harvesting of gardens and the smell of fallen leaves and woodsmoke, the crisp, dry air, apple pies and Pumpkin Spice Latte? Which one's your fave? Spring? I do love each season, I have to admit.

We have a 10 mile. Do you think it's two miles longer because of the curvature of the earth thing? Or something?
And why don't the Boston Celtics pronounce Celtics like the Celtics?
These---as well as other questions---continue to haunt me.
I'm actually dreading fall. Back to the books. UGH!

I'm looking forward to fall too. I think it's the 90+ highs that are causing me to look at sweaters and jackets with rapture.

Fall is my most favorite time of year!
Thanks for the heads up with baby monkey! I want to know more, though! I'm a tad over-excited about it all.
A leaf already huh??
I love fall too!!! Ohhh how I love it!
I do love fall, but I think ours is still a long way coming.
Baby MONKEY, EEEEK!
Not into fall, I must admit, as I find it rather gllomy and a slide into Fimbul Winter. Can't deny a little bit of cool weather would be nice though.
Amanda -Mine too. :)
Airam - yes, infact, more than one, now! Yikes!!!
