I'm giving up blogging for Lent. This was a spur-of-the-moment decision made at breakfast this morning when Fishy was asking about Ash Wednesday (I MUST teach that boy to make the "sh" sound properly!) and I realised it was Lent.
But it's also something that's been a long time coming. I started blogging as a daily writing warm-up, and it took over too much of my writing time. So my plan is to use the time I spent blogging for writing.
I know this will quite likely be the kiss of death for an already foundering blog. But maybe I'll find a way to jump-start things again when I come back with my newly prioritized writing schedule. ^_^
And I'll still be playing Scrabulous on Facebook. :-)

I'm pouting. You're the 3rd blogger I read pulling the "temporary" plug (and I have a feeling more are on the way). I know...I can't really speak since I supposedly "took a break", too. But I'm still allowed to pout, right?
Either way...I hope your break allows you to really focus on your writing!! I understand the need to recharge the batteries, so to speak.
Oh, and I keep meaning to tell you...you should get on Ravelry (it's by invite only right now since they are in beta, but you can add your email to the list and they are pretty quick about getting you into the site)...it's awesome and has a TON of chrochet/knit patterns and allows you to organize your projects, etc. It's pretty awesome. I"m loving it.
Yeah, like Armie can talk. By the way, what the hell is a "foundering" blog? Are you calling yourself some sort of pioneer?
Egan, I think I'm going to blame you for all the people pulling out of the blog scene...it's logical and easier for me to blame than to accept that sometimes people have to just move on. You cool with that? Sweet.
I'll be here when/if you come back. You'd better accomplish a LOT of serious writing after making us suffer like this!
Call me the fall guy if you must.
You do need to check out my latest post though. You may be one of the few people who will actually get all of it.
But no, nay, verily, NIX!!! I was JUST about to start commenting EVERY DAY, I SWEAR!!! Don't FOUNDER!! Lent, schment, we're not even Catholic, woman!!!
Happy Lent! I'll be here when you get back. I'm giving up giving up stuff for Lent :) It's convenient.
Best of luck and I'll miss you! I'm on Facebook, so unless you feel like emailing daily instead of blogging (and who wants to do that?), you'd better teach me Scrabulous!!
;-)
Just a note here: rumor has it Scrabulous' days are numbered on Facebook too since it's not really a licensed version of the game. Sorry to be the killjoy!
No more Scrabulous?! What would I do??
Hey, for anyone reading, I'm on Facebook too. I'd love to add peeps! (find me under Katie Weber Camarena)
Hey, where's that new post? You removed a post didn't you? You wimp!
I miss you already, but good for you.
You deleted a post!
I miss your style.
COME BACK!
please?
Yeah, it's not like you're even religious. Bring it!
Ok. If this isn't enough to bring you back to blogging, then I just don't know what is.
Lent ends at Easter, right? I miss you!
Why didn't I think of that? Some Roman Catholic, I am. Sheesh. Here I sit, still posting. I think posting is still a mortal sin, by the way. Hey, I wonder if posting and then deleting it is a form of onanism.
And yeah----Armanda has no room to pout. None, I tell you! Hmpf! (nose in the air, head whipping in about face, storming out of room and slamming the door. wow. that felt good...)
Five days left!
It's almost time for you to come back...I miss you!
Two more days until you come back to blogging! Or lay some pastel-colored eggs?
Is the Easter Bunny going to leave us a post on Sunday?
Code Monkey!
Happy Easter. Now, are you back yet? Are you back yet? Are you back yet? Are you back yet, are you back yet????
;-)
