OMG now that we have our wristband, it is really sinking in.
If you were at our house today you would hear random shouts of:
"Who's excited?"
"Who's giddy?"
and
"Olé!"
You would be treated, as well, to rousing renditions of "The Mysterious Ticking Noise."
The kids are bouncing off the walls. Well, they're currently swinging and singing (the Mysterious Ticking Noise Song) and shouting, but you know. *I'm* bouncing off the walls.
This is something the likes of which my kids may never see again. I'm excited for me, but mostly, I'm excited for them.
"I've found the source of the Mysterious Ticking Noise; it's a pipe bomb!"
"Yaaaaaaaaaaay!"

This is my last comment before I shut off my computer. And holy hell am I fuh-reaking out!!!! And listening to "snape, snape, severus snape". And giggling. And EEEEEEK!!!
I'm excited for everyone, too. I think it's so fun. And all of your kids are old enough to really get into it, which makes it even more fun.
Have fun tonight!!!
I hear Weesley sucks HP's dick or some crazy shit like that.
Who gets to read it first?
I bet Mollusc gets to read it first. She's lightning quick.
Amanda - I HAVE THE BOOK! I HAVE THE BOOK!! I read the first page to everyone in teh car, and then Sluggie got it, but Egan's right. Mollusc will get it first, alternating with me if she ever goes to sleep. I can't decide whether to rip through or savour it. I'm leaning to ward savour since I'll never get to read it for the first time again.
Egan - You must have read the NY Times review. They suck big hairy monkey balls.
Tshsmom - Mollusc will undoubtedly finish first. That's my forecast.
Egan - You know us well. ^_^
I wouldn't say well, but I'm learning. The NY Times review states that Ron enters a reality tv show and wins a million pounds. He then takes that money and becomes a heroin.
Ahhhh! So THAT'S why the subtitle is "Broomspotting." That explains a lot!
...heroin addict. Dammit. I'm enjoying the book thus far.
I knew what you meant. Are you reading #1? Muaahahaha!
