My Name is Candace

and I am a Journalaholic. It's very hard for me to pass up yummy journals. ESPECIALLY when they're on sale.

I particularly love the red triangular sticker on this one.

And the brown pages inside. I got 3 of these and Prawn claimed one:
(By Kaira Baggins. Concerning Hobbits.
When I was dead, then some other hobbits would get my house, but I adopted another hobbit. His name was Frodo Baggins, and then Frodo would get my house (switches to pencil) and the other hobbits would not get my house.)

Mollusc chose this velvety embossed one:

Additionally, Prawn wanted this very colourful book (also bearing my favourite sticker) :

It's handy to have something big enough to trace your body on in case the mood strikes. ^_^

The brown one was on sale (with more yummy brown pages) and the black one wasn't, but it was cheap

AND it has paper like THIS inside:

So, yeah, I have a problem.

In other news, I found some leaves outside!

And some daffodils. Real ones!

But Emmett says it's still too cold.

I know how he feels.

As a young boy, I owned a splendid pair of pyjamas emblazened with a pattern remembling that on the cover of Prawn's colorful book.

Some things transcend the ephemeral fashions of the day.

I would buy just about anything if it was 75% off. Seriously. I bought a cake once because it was 50% off, but then again it doesn't take much to make me buy cake.

The cat picture and caption on the previous post are hysterical! We'd definitely be friends in real life!

I'm a Bookaholic. Nothing I love more than cruising the clearance tables. I can spend embarrassing amounts of time in Book Warehouse. Other times, there are books I Must own and will pay full price for.
Emmett is a cute name for a (cute)cat.

Holy crap, I love those journals! I'm the same way - I have so many empty journals just lying about with nothing in them. But yet I buy them when the mood (or sale) strikes. And I have that black spiral one, too - with the graph paper. I love it! I used to use it to record my tarot readings in back when I was trying to be all Wicca. Now I just use it for stationary.

Simon - Do any pictures remain, or did they confound the camera's lens?

Tori - I can be a definite sucker for sales, so when you combine a sale with journals, I'm pretty much toast. ^_^

Claire - OMG I adore books. My idea of heaven is rooms lined with fully-stocked floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. :)

Armie - The paper FEELS good, too. ^_^ How funny that you have the black one, too. :) I was just looking at Tarot decks cuz some of them have such gorgeous and inspiring art and I was thinking of using a deck as a writing inspiration tool. :)

I agree that Emmett is a great name for a cat.

I love the way journals look, but I know that once I buy them, I regret that my sloppy handwriting doesn't measure up to the niceness of the journal.

I like to buy them to donate to kids, though :)

Kitkat - I forgot to mention how Emmett got his name. Mollusc named him when she was 3 because of the Molly & Emmett cartoons on the back of each issue of Ladybug magazine. :)

My handwriting is crummy and inconsistent, but I still love journals. ^_^

I'm with Emmett! I think I'll just take a nap until all the white(gray) stuff goes away.

Kittens between your legs and tulips. No, I get IT Candace... you're making your point very very clear.

"Crummy" is such a charming word. :)

But there's no way your handwriting can be crummier than mine.

I would say, quite honestly, that most of the time I can't read what I write down.

Tshsmom - I do think he's on to something there. Though I can hardly complain since it was in the 40s today. But it's just so GREY! Bleh.

Egan - I think you have a fixation. Those are daffodils, dude. I had a weird French message on my answering machine today. You must be lonely. ^_^

Simon - Have you ever wondered why it isn't 'crumby'?

Oh HO my friend. You have not seen my handwriting. It's like code. Shall we have a crummy handwriting-off? I'll endeavour to post a pic. . . ^_^

Michael - A handwriting primer? ;-)

Damn. Tomorrow is anti-procrastination day. Hmmm. . .

Moi? Pas du tout. Oh, daffodils, tulips... they're all the same. You're naughty.
