Librarese

We signed up for one library's summer reading program today. The other library's starts on Monday. (We like to double dip.) You might think that on an information sheet done by librarians, they'd know that "bazaar" is not a description of a strange and wondrous thing, or that "leaches" don't lurk in stagnant water. You might think so, but you'd be wrong.

I've learned that a lot of librarians think they are hot shit, but they really aren't. Yeah, I get it...they have a special degree to even be a librarian. But based on some of the Einstein's I've dealt with at my public library, I'm pretty sure my cat could get this degree they are so proud of.

I'm not bitter or anything!

My best friend was considering getting her library masters or whatever that is called.

I decided against sending my son to preschool next year. One of the main reasons (besides the fact that we have been doing "mommy preschool" and he's been doing great at the learning part and I am not quite ready to give him up yet) is because on the information sheet the school we were interested in sent home they misspelled/misused several words. I can screw him up on my own thank you very much. I definitely don't need to pay someone to teach him incorrect things!

Logo - True! I wondered when I saw it how much was spell check and how much was ignorance. :-P

Good grief. I think we need to come up with a new language. Something that is more phonetic. I think it's the only way.

During my recent travels, I saw a "congradulations." I can forgive this one a little, but still it's easy to remember that it's "t" because we say "congrats"!

Sometimes I'm a snob and think people should just learn to spell, and other times (most times) I think we just need a phonetic language. :-P There's a sign in our town that people can rent for personal messages, ads, etc. and never ONCE have I seen it done with perfect spelling and grammar. :-P
