Chop Shop

I need a haircut. Just in the last week or so, my hair suddenly reached the point where I can't stand it anymore. I've been trying to figure out whether I can get 10 inches lopped off (so I can donate) and still pull it back, because I can't stand it in my face either. It seems like a waste to get less off and not donate, so I'm having them whack off 10" regardless. Now I have to surf some sites and figure out if there's any sort of cut I want to aim for. Like they'll look the same on me, anyway. Ha. Maybe I'll just do a Britney.

Prawnie and Fishy are testing today. They know their stuff, but of course Nervous Mama is hoping they don't seize up for the test. :)

I could go on and on about hair (and I have on my own blog). If you're concerned about being able to have it off your face, then you could make sure that it's at least long enough tuck behind your ears if the whole thing won't go back into a ponytail. Or you could just go pixie like I did a couple years ago :) No worries about it being in your face then! My goal is to keep growing my hair (with an occasional trim) until my 30th birthday (2 years away now), and then I should have enough to cut and donate.

too funny because I've been contemplating doing the same thing...is it 10inches? whew that's a lot...I've always had long hair and I'm terrified of cutting it all off. I kinda have broad shoulders and am embarrassed of them...if I don't have any hair there to cover them up I will feel so exposed! hmmm maybe you have inspired a post.

I did it! It turns out they only need 6 inches now! I'm not sure how much they took off, but she left it long enough to pull into a pony nub. ^_^

Kitkat, I sure wish I could pull off a pixie, but with my square jaw, it's to mannish on me. :-/ That's what I'd dearly love to have.

Slade - I decided WTH it grows back so I took in a pic and I'm really happy! Maybe I'll be brave enough to post a pic. :-)

Okay, I have a bit of a square jaw and broad shoulders, so I think I made the right choice in growing mine out :/ I'm glad to know it's only 6 inches now to donate. I looked it up recently and they still said 10. Hm...

Oh no, I said to, instead of too. Ack!

I've always thought of myself as having broad shoulders but didn't notice that on wither of you in your pics. I think it's weird what we pick out on ourselves that others probably never notice. :)

I wish I had elfin features and could do an Annie Lennox, but alas. I do, however, really like my new haircut, so hooray for that! :)

I hate it hate it hate it when I can't pull my hair up all the way and wisps of it fly around and tickle my nose. It's always that struggle of how much you'll chop off or not. Though that's fabulous that you want to donate some.

I'm glad you like your haircut. I was going to tell you that they only need 6 inches now, but I'm glad you found out before you needlessly forced yourself to be pony tail free!

I just got a haircut and told her I was almost ready to Britney it so she could do whatever she wanted. She cut off a lot, but left enough for a pony tail, which is nice since that is almost always how I have it! But headbands work if it is too short for pony tails...which is a nonissue since yours is long enough.

h - I think that is quite possibly the worst stage of a haircut. It drives me absolutely insane! Grrr!

Tori - That's right where I was! I think our brains were separated at birth. I bet you got all the memory area, too. ^_^
