Sew Tiny

So today was a sewing day for me. First I made something I can't show, cuz it's for Mollusc's b-day and sometimes she reads my blog. :) Then I tried a new (free) pattern and did this:

That involved a lot of swearing and picking out and restitching and, finally, chucking the thing across the room and starting over. Then I did this:

Size 0-3 mos

and this:

size 3-6 mos.

By then it was time to kick back

and have a cup of tea. Here's some for you. Hope you like Blackberry Sage. :)

What's the deal with the booties? Adding another to your brood?? Hmm, inquiring minds want to know...

No, no! ^_^ I just know a bunch of women who are pregnant or planning to be. :)

The chucking it across the room thing is how I feel about knitting sometimes!

I love the booties! And I am glad Claire asked what I was sort of wondering!

Is your weather as beautiful as ours now? We went to the park yesterday twice and then just hung out outside. It was so peaceful and just plain wonderful!

Ha! You're funny.

I love those booties and have printed out the pattern. I can't sew, but I'm going to give it to my mom and make her make me some! They are so damn cute!

Sicilian Mama-aren't moms who sew wonderful? My mom just made me a cover for the bench we have and also some throw pillows. I wish I knew how to sew!

Tori - It can be either very rewarding or very, very frustrating, LOL!

I like this patt a lot more than the other. :) I think it must be pregnancy season. But not for me. ^_^

Oh, yes! Our weather has been GORGEOUS! :) Though it's a lot cooler today and I guess it's supposed to snow in a couple of days. Typical midwest winter. It's just easy to forget, after a nice warm day or two, that it could ever snow again. :-P

Arm - If your mom is going to make them, you can tell her I had better luck just sewing with a straight stitch and trimming the seam allowance down to reduce bulk. :)

Tori - My sewing mom is the one who got me sewing, but the funny thing is, she only did it cuz she had to, and she hates sewing, LOL!

Egan - I bet I can't find it. Want to send it again?

I haven't sewn anything that tiny since I sewed clothes for my daughter's Cabbage Patch doll! I did a LOT of throwing and swearing back then. ;)
