Definitions

Conviction:

Lying near the toilet, shivering, on the cold bathroom floor and remaining steadfast in the belief that flu shots are not for healthy people. ^_^

Optimism:

Puking on Christmas Eve, crawling out to make a nest on the living room floor with another sickling and being overcome with a sense of happy comfortability by the sparkling lights on the tree and the snuggly child resting against you.

As Phil said, "Well, this isn’t too bad. My left leg is broken, but at least I’m right-legged. That’s pretty fortunate.”

Fortune:

Having Oscillococciunum on hand.

Practice:

The only way to remember how to spell Oscillococcinum.

Surprise/Mild Interest:

The emotion I felt upon receiving the first garden catalog of the season yesterday.

Addiction:

What happened to me and all the kids upon the activation of their new Webkinz accounts. I love Quizzy's Word Challenge! But it takes "vaginas" and not "penis." Can anyone explain that? It takes "sperm," too. I can't help it if these words leap out at me. And they're not all like that. I think my best word so far is "trawlers" for 49 points. Not too shabby, but I bet Logo could kick my ass. Too bad you can't make words longer than 8 letters. Oh, and I played Cash Cow so much, I dreamed about it. :-/

The Sound of Music:

What will be filling the house tonight.

Have a great evening! ^_^

Oh the hills are alive... (and it's kind of frightening)

The top thing seems kind of nice except that I just bleached and scrubbed my bathroom floor and vacuumed the rug and the cats -- stupid cats!! -- already kicked half the litter box out. Bastard felines. So, now, sleeping on the bathroom floor is a, er, "rocky" proposition.

Somewhere Joe, LOL! Are you one of those SOTM haters? One of my Univ history professors was one. I think it was his only fault. ;) Then again, maybe you're referring to the living hills, in which case I wholeheartedly agree. Sounds like some sort of horror flick, doesn't it?

Snay - I hate it when the cats do that. I've got the boxes in the laundry room, leaving me free to repose comfortably (or at least sand-free) on the bathroom floor. However, it greatly increases the risk of accidentally flinging freshly washed clothes straight into the litter box if I miss the laundry basket. :-P Good thing I love my pussies. ;)

Er TSOM, not SOTM :-P Eh, whatever.

The latter - as in 'The Hills Have Eyes' (oh no!)

Who doesn't like Julie Andrews? Especially in S.O.B. where Blake Edwards persuaded her to showed her breasts. They really lit up... the screen.

Shhh, you're going to give Logo a complex. I'm glad you tried the penis.

I take vaginas, if anyone is interested.

Great post, Candace.

Cindra - we's doing much better, actually. It's really pretty mild for us, no doubt due to the Oscillo. My friend just told me that some of her dh's co-workers have ended up hospitalised with this junk. Bleh! We're just have some minor ups and downs after the rough part, but the rough part was pretty short-lived, thank goodness.

Poly - Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. . .Sing with the family! ^_^

Arm - I believe MuNKi would agree wholeheartedly with you. ^_^

Steppingoverthejunk - Until today I thought you were a guy who felt very well-equipped. Silly, silly me. I'm loving your blog. Those fancy ponytails on Blue were so cute! I have some of those for Prawn, but I almost always just do one, because I can't part hair straight to save my life. As for the Webkinz, let me warn you: it is a slippery, slippery slope. ^_^

Somewhere Joe - OK, yeah, that's freaky.

Re Ms. Andrews, did you immediately burst into a rousing rendition of "You Light Up My Life?" ^_^

Egan - If you read real books you might be able to give Logo a run for her money. I always recommend trying the penis.

Diesel - I'll make a note for future reference. ^_^ Thanks. :)

Gawpo - You no likey? What's not to like? Eating tons of balls. Sweet ones. ^_^

Given how mild it's been I may need that seed catalogue. Whose was it?

Well I hear ya there, TG. My butterfly bush and lavender plants are covered with new growth, and the tree by the front door has budded out. What's going to happen when the freeze does come?

This one was from Jung. They always have good stuff. :) I used to live right near a Jung's in WI. Are they a chain? Or maybe it was coincidence that they are both called Jung. I have no clue. (sadly true of many things)

Ooo, I bet we would have a GREAT time playing that together!

We would probably laugh ourselves silly. ^_^

C, you're so great you could post a dictionary and It would seem like great literature.

(Ok, that was slightly too fawning and slimy to sound genuine. However, the fact that I wanted to write it suggests that it was at least crawling up the wall of truth, and may yet sneak into the window.)
