Damn I love these icy shots. The angel one is great, but my favorites are those of the new buds encapsulated in ice. Cool stuff Tall Chick.

Arm - It has just been gorgeous out there I was lucky to be able to capture a bit of the splendour. :)

Winters - Indeed. I'm continually reminded of this when I look around, but looking at it through the camera lens always makes it hit home even harder. :)

Snow - we're getting snow today, too. Gorgeous fat flakes sifting down over everything. It's lovely! I hope it doesn't melt too soon. I don't like the grey slush phase. :-/

Joe - Now that's going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the night. (That's not a bad thing, though.) Unless The Killers drown it out. . . ^_^

Efo - thanks. :) Yeah, those are my faves, too. Too bad I can't send you one to see up close so you could turn it all around and see it from every angle. Fascinating!

Ice storms are extremely rare in Seattle. We had one about five years ago and I took pictures of everything in site. I got some cool shots of our holly tree at our first house. I should dig those up for you.

Are you ready for some jibberish?

Rhododendron in there? I especially like the one that looks like the seed cluster of a milo plant. Wows all the way 'round. Gorgeous, Chall Tick!

Ugh! So unfair! We've had no snow and the weather has been warmer than usual all winter. We are finally getting calls for snow on Sunday night. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Beautiful photos, as always. :)

Efo - I'm ready! Oooh, I'd love to see the holly pics. I love holly.

I read that as sight anyway. . . :-P

Tshsmom - So true, LOL! Thanks. :)

Gawpo - Yes indeed, Rhododendron is right! :) I love Milo but I don't know what the plant looks like up close and Google is no help. The green one in a globe is spurge and the brown one is - er, can't remember. :-P I'll have to go back out in the daylight and rack my brain. Some herb I think. Thanks Pawgo. :)

Ablonde - it's been a very weird winter for us. This is our first real lasting snow of the winter. I say lasting, but it's only been since Thursday, so it's early days yet, LOL! Here's hoping you get something beautiful your way. :)

And thank you. :)

Great pics. We have similar weather and things that shouldn't beging to sprout until spring began doing their thing in December and into January. Now everything is covered in snow and it 5F outside. Spring and early summer might be less colorful than usual.

There's no such thing as global warming.

Lovely pictures. Just lovely.

I worry a bit about all the green there is that is now getting frizzed. Last year we lost a lot of plants, even though it was quite mild. One explanation - they didn't go dormant soon enough to avoid the ice. We'll see.

I've started buying seeds for the Spring. Go me!

Logo - thanks. :) The stuff out there is just so weird right now!

Toby - yeah, that weird warm-up in Dec/Jan fooled a lot of plants. Now I dream of global warming, LOL!

TG - thanks. :) Seeds already? You ARE on the ball! Impressive! What sorts?
