Expanding and Contracting

I got my first contract in the mail today. (Some of my other stuff has paid, but there haven't been contracts before now.) They're paying me £50. While this is not enough for me to begin living an expansive lifestyle, I'm pretty excited. ^_^

I'm excited for you too!!! Contracts somehow make it for real, don't they?

Yes! And the price isn't bad, either, for a 2,000 some word story! :)

I agree - the price is definitely good! I'm just so happy for you. I love hearing about people getting their stuff "published." It gives me reason to keep writing.

WHOHOO!!! That's like $100, isn't it?

Amanda - I need to use the inspiration to make sure I sumbit some more stuff. :)

Tshsmom - I was thinking $85ish but the currency converter I just found says $97.45. I suppose it will depend on the rate the day they issue the check, LOL! Or should I say cheque? :)

Brilliant. OF course it'll be 50c after banking commission... ;-)

That will buy Munki a good knife.

Now that the housekeeping is done, could you please explain for me just what on GAWD's globally warming earth you are going to do with fifty Ls with a line through the middle of them.

Congrats to you Tall Chick. Let me know if you want me to proof any of your "work".

Yes! Use that and submit lots more of your stuff! I can be your own personal cheerleader if you want. But I won't wear the outfit...sorry.

Congratulations! That is excellent news! WAHOOOOOOOOOO!

TG - HA! Good point. :-P (point - heheh!)

Gawpo - I SAW that! How very freakin' cool, eh? I loved the post about frenetic cleaning for it. ^_^

Vicc - Hi, and welcome! Any friend of Gawpo's is a friend of mine. ^_^ Yep, I'm in the middle of the series. I was carless when I finished #3 and so had to start on Mr. Darcy takes a Wife until I could get to the library for #4. So now I have to finish THAT first. ^_^ It's starts out with lots (and lots) of sex and angst and goes from there, LOL!

Ldbug - you are so right! ^_^

Logo - thank you for your vote of confidence. ^_^

Egan - thank you! I'll probably take you up on that.

Amanda - LOL! No outfit required. Though I'm afraid that's going to disappoint Egan.

Cheekendrah - thank you! :)

Let's see...you have a proofreader, a personal cheerleader, I think I saw a post earlier where Egan agreed to be your admin assistant. Not too shabby, Tall Chick!!

Winters - thank you. I do hope you're right. Maybe even a "real" piece eventually. ^_^
