I Have Been

~Off the radar for a bit

~Afraid to open my email because of all the shit I have to wade through

~Not quilting, but I did buy some more hot pink fabric today

~Wanting to scrapbook without having the time

~Making sugar cookies way more than is normal for me (twice in the last week or so)

~Not reading A Breath of Snow and Ashes very much

~Watching Scrubs or films at night

~Enabling my kids' Webkinz addiction

~Sewing on patches for $, but turning down a chair-cover sewing gig for which there was no pattern (not my forte)

~Getting the kids back on schedule with schoolwork and stuff

~Shoveling (well, forking) goat mulch

~Teaching and taking classes and sparring and trying to figure out the new schedule that starts next week

~Hardly using the computer at all

What have you been up to?

I made a bacon, swiss and sundried tomato quiche last night and oooooh man, it was soooo good.
I stayed out past midnight visiting with my cousin the other day, that was fun.
We are doing a "school day" tomorrow, so Im getting ready for that, its already upon us!

I've been watching Scrubs lately, too. I think the earlier ones were funnier.

I should be making sugar cookies. Or any cookie, really. I'm never going to perfect my baking recipes if I don't practice. But I really, really want a Kitchen-aid before I get going hardcore.

Other than that, I've been reading a lot. I just finished Lisey's Story and I'm starting on the Thirteenth Tale.

Thanks for asking, by the way!

Logo - Oh YUM! Are you going to share that recipe on your blog?? (she asked hopefully)

How cool that A) your cousin is so nearby, and B) she's fun to hang with. Lucky you! :)

Oh yeah, us, too. We did more formal school Monday and Tuesday. Today is going to be more of a fun day - off to the pond to collect water samples for Biology.

Amanda - I still laugh at these newer ones, but I think they tend to have more poignant moments than the older ones. The one where Turk got brain freeze just about killed me. ^_^

I kind of hate making sugar cookies because with 4 kids it's a lot of "my turn!" when we're cutting and OMG I just want to FINISH them, LOL! But the decorating is better now that we use squeeze bottles and they can pass them around. But then there's the massive clean-up effort. Oy Vey!

Tell me about the Thirteenth Tale! Oh, OK, I can read your review. Oh that's right. I was going to link to you my TCM review for the e-smut. Check your mailbox. :)

Do you want the whole list? ;)
The last couple of days I've been needling conspiracy theorists that have been harassing my daughter.
They're a HOOT, but they have absolutely no sense of humor.

School started back up, so I'm busy getting all the details nailed down. It has left little time for blogging. Reading: The World Without Us
So far it is extremely interesting.
I keep thinking about making choc. chip cookies to send up to the footballplayingman in Oregon, then run out of time/energy :( BOOHISS!

I haven't seen you around and miss you more than you'll ever know. But hey, spend time with your kids, they are our future.

Sounds great! I am a little tiny inch of a bit upset that you never visit me since i came back, but i can get over it considering all the stuff you are and are not doing.

Scrubs is pretty addictive. I agree.

So are sugar cookies.

I miss you, biotch. Write me.

The adoption is finally final!

Big hugs to you and all of yours.

xoxo

Tshsmom - Oh ugh. Yes, they can be good for entertainment value, but at the same time frustrating! :-P

Claire - I bet you are CRAZY busy! I'm thinking of makinf a choc ake from my mo's old recipe, but we'll see if I ever get around to THAT either. Amazing how time gets away from you, isn't it?

Egan - I miss you, too. :-( Are you aver chattable these days? Not that I've been on enough to do that anyway. I wish there were more hours in the day. And that we lived in more compatible time zones. :-P

Cindra! OMG I am such a shitty blogger. Can you please send me your blog info again? I keep wanting to go back, and I'm inevitably (like right now) on the wrong compter - you know, one of the ones WITHOUT my login info. :-(

Way HEY!!! Congratulations to you and the Bonny Baby!! OMG what a relief! :)

Hugs to you and your clan as well. :-)

I love Scrubs or film. Mixed together, they are the visual equivalent of a peanut buster parfait.

Oh, I do love me a panut buster parfait.

Do you happen to have cheendra's info. I'm authorised to have it. I swear.

Yes! I have it. See you at the "Hoo."
