Done! Maybe. . .

I finished the sashing today. I was a little worried that it was going to come out all trapezoidal, but it seems to be reasonably rectangular. I may end up adding a couple of strips to the sides just to widen it. Not sure yet. Perhaps I will ask the quilting maven (BG's mom) for her opinion.

Tomorrow is Bake Something Or Else Day. For me, anyway. I haven't yet decided what I will do to myself as the "Or Else" part if I fail. Probably break out the Manilow or something. ;-)

Still trying to find time for everything when there just isn't.

Still trying to find time for everything when there just isn't what? Everything?

Yeah. I know the feeling.

Time.

:-P

Break out the Manilow? Good for you! Call it a Cobacabana cake! Wait, that's kinda lame, isn't it?
:D

C said...

Well, that would be the punishment, see. . . ;-)

Oh , I mean, Ow Mandy...Good luck with that finding time thing! Let me know how it goes. I still can't wait to see pics! Of the quilt, not the time thing. but that too if you can swing it.

That's low.....

Your quilting will probably be far straighter than my hubbys decking!

Bake this very easy cake -
1 cup self raising flour
1 cup sugar(or less to taste)
1 cup milk
1 cup bran
1 cup mixed fruit
mix and throw into a loaf tin ,moderate oven for 45 mins.
Eat cold spread with butter!

Trying to find time? I'm still amazed at all that you do when you have four kids. I have the day off today, and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get my butt to the gym.

But good luck on the baking, and how about as punishment: more baking? Let us know what you make.

Gawpo - oh, duh, you were joking. It was late. What can I say? ^_^

Cindra - Muahaha! Nice one! I took a pic of the quilt top this morning. We'll see if I can get everything uploaded and cropped today.

Michael - I know. I'm sorry. "Cant's Smile Without (ribbing) You" "Ev'ry Single Day." ^_^

Jayne - LOL! Do you have pics of that? Mine is definitely not exquisite, but I like it anyway. :) Thanks for the recipe! It looks simple and TASTY!

Kitkat - I like the way you think. More baking is always better! ^_^

Wouldn't it be lovely to have TIme Turners? And no need for sleep? ^_^

I've been baking cinnamon rolls lately. Each batch gets better and better as I figure out the dough.

Oh YUMMY!!!

I think today will be "Witch's Pumpkin Pudding" or Apple Crisp. Or both. ^_^

egan said...

I know exactly what you will do in the "or else" scenario.

C said...

WWRD? ^_^

egan said...

I see there's something brewing.

egan said...

I think it's time for a little comment off. Bring it.

egan said...

Don't be hiding behind Ashira this time and stop using those TKD slogans on me. I'm Superman.

C said...

Brewing here or at another blog?

Oh, I think I'm ahead today. So far.

egan said...

Bake like your life depends on it. You best not be cheating using some Better Crocker or Duncan Hines shit.

egan said...

damn you

egan said...

I have to step up my game. Your fingers are moving way too fast for me today. Yikes, that's not nice sounding.

egan said...

Type like you've never typed before. Carpal tunnel be dammed!

C said...

Holy hell that was fast!

I did! I made the puddim. And we ate most of it. No cheating. Yeesh!

Muahahah!!

Um, are you taking video of that?

egan said...

Yes, I'm taking a video of everything possible and posting them on my site. It's really too bad none of them work.

C said...

Oh yeah. I forgot about that little glitch. :-P

egan said...

Oh no you didn't.

C said...

So email it. ^_^

egan said...

I have a bunch of quilt patterns to send you.

egan said...

It would please me very much if you used the pattern to make me something very cool.

From now on, when I comment on your blog, it will always be in multiples. It's a good theme.

egan said...

Better yet, it artificially inflates your ego. I like that reason more than any other. How are those push-ups coming along these days? What did you end up baking? When do I get some?

egan said...

Don't answer my final question in the last comment please. Merci.

Oh, good lord! You two are giving me a headache!

C said...

Egan - did your MIL make that quilt Anna was on in some of your pics?

Egan - OMG. I know what it is! A quilted ggosigi warmer. Knotting size.

Egan - I heartily agree. It's a wonderful theme!

Egan - My ego can always use artificial respiration. That's a great reason. The pushups? Um. I thought maybe I'd go to 50 daily as a maintainance sort of level, and then ramp it up again about 2 mos before testing.

I did end up baking the Witch's Pumpkin pudding. I put in too much cardamom. :-P But it's OK. Apple crisp tomorrow, I think.

There's a loaded question with oh so many possible answers!

Egan - Oh, all right. Pas de quoi. Oh! A loaded answer. O_O

Cindra - Egan makes my brain hurt. But in a good way. ^_^ Join the love fest! ^_^

I'm gonna try Jayne's recipe as soon as I get bran.

Candace: You can't smile without (ribbing) me? Oh Man(dy) was that a classic!!!!!! I hope you aren't this rough on Munki
:D

C said...

I used to be, until I made him cry. "Even Now" I'll mess with him every once in a while whenever I feel I'm "Ready to Take a Chance Again." ;-)

Michael C said...

Whoa, can I say how much you are impressing me right now!!! 'It's a Miracle' that you are quoting Manilow!!!!!
;-)

C said...

What can I say? "Perfect isn't Easy." ^_^

Michael C said...

You win. Why don't I know that one? This is so humiliating...

armalicious said...

Egan really wants people to send him baked goods. Damn.

C said...

Micahel - you need to expand your Manilow repetoire, apparently. :-)

Arm - poor Efo. Does he not have an oven? I don't think stuff like that mails very well. :-P

Michael C said...

That's why I switched to the Carpenters. Otherwise you'd still be playing 'Solitaire.' In the words of Ralph Malph...I still got it...
