Happy Mabon!

What a gorgeous Fall Day it was here. Real post tomorrow, pics and all I hope. In the meantime, the Grocery Game is still being played here. Today it was $58 worth of groceries for $26. Yay!

Also, I started sashing the quilt today and I'm almost done already. I ran into some too-small-square issues, so I've had to do some ripping and adding.

Hope you all had a glorious First Day of Fall!

I love it that you call it Mabon!

I was sick all day, so I didn't get to enjoy the beautiful fall day yesterday. But Saturday? We were at the zoo and it was glorious!

What's Fall???

Fall is when the house mice grow bold enough to munch away placidly in the parrotlets' seed tray in broad daylight!!

And then scramble across the floor to hide very still behind the bookcase, forgetting their tail is still showing!

Oh, you are supergirl! Can't wait to see the pictures of the groceries (c'mon, really...do it) and the quilt!

Jayne - ah yes, I forget that half the world experiences things quite differently than we do. Happy Ostara, then. ^_^

Armie - I'm sad that you're sick, but I'm glad you had a great day at the zoo! I hope you feel better soon.

Michael - That's the final period before the rain comes, causing hundreds of wrecks in a single day! It's also known as the "Damn it's hot!" season. ;-)

Violet de Gambit - You should teach the birdies to scream "MOUSE!!! MOUSE!!!" when the wee furries are stealing their food. ^_^

V de G - HAHAHHAHAHAaa! I love the tail part.

Egan - Happy Fall to you, too! G-Saling all done. Huzzah!

Egan - Correct, Sir. I did not. YOU did. ^_^ Do you know how to get out?

Cindra - one of these days I'll have to snap a pic of the haul. I never thought of doing that. :-P I'll do a pic of the quilt today if I get the last little problems ironed out and the final strips on. I'm SOOOOO close! :)

Let the boycott begin.

I can't wait to see pictures of the quilt! How fun!

But the main reason I have stayed away from qulting (besides my fear of a sewing machine because I didn't know you could hand quilt until you told me it is possible) is because I am not very precise with anything and fear that I would end up re-doing everything when it didn't fit together. I may try it eventually anyway because it just sounds like so much fun.

you are HANDquilting? I might do that. I doubt it, but i might. tell me more. show me the pictures! tell me how to do it. i'm still sending you my quilt books though. i'll never get close to using them.

Egan - You want me to boycott your blog? Does this mean you want me to drop you off the sidebar altogether? I guess that's one way out, but it seems rather drastic. Let me know for sure before I pull the plug.

Tori - I'm too stinking lazy to do pics tonight. It seems like I say that a lot. :-P I think I'll at least take them, though.

My friend BG was intimidated by the machine, too, but once she caved to peer pressure she found it really enjoyable. In fact, she's beenhaving stress lately and found that quilting into the wee hours is helping. ^_^

I, too, was worried about the precision stuff, because I'm just NOT a precise person. At all. It's worked out, though. :)

Cindra - No no no no no!! I'm FAR too lazy to ever do that! Machine all the way, baby. I would love those books. Even though I was too airheaded to email you my addy.

Efo - I may have found an acceptable solution. ->

Were you mad while you were doing this? You know what that would make you, don't you?

Okay, the new title is slightly better. Slap happy could mean anything, open to interpretation. It pleases me very much Tall Chick.

A Mad Sasher? Um. . . A Mad Ripper? Er. . . Blast! I'm low on wattage today. :-P Tell me! Tell me!

Efo - Heh! I think I shall change it daily. Slap-happy is, indeed, fraught with meaning. Especially as it relates to the word "monkey." ^_^
