And I thought I had a bad farmer's tan. Holy shit this takes the cake. Well it's more of a farmer's burn though.

Har! At least it's not a Farmer Tan. I dunno what you'd call it, though.

So yo uwanna know about GuTTer MuNKi, eh? The whole thing kind of evolved in the comments here

and then I decided to start linking wierd shit and posted the caveat lector for that here.

And where are the answers to the truths and lies post?! I missed all that.

Are you referring to Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever series? I never made it past the first two books (or maybe it was just the first one). The man was so self-loathing I couldn't continue.

The answers are here. :-)

Yep, that's the series. This is my third time around. I'm re-reading them because Donaldson is doing a third chronicles (book 1 is already out) and I want to see how it all comes out. I got rid of the books after the second time through because I was so unsastisfied with the ending. :-P

I've ranted in here somewhere about needing a dictionary to read the stupid things, but for some reason, I read on because the story (underneath all of that pretentious crap) does interest me. I don't think I'll be keeping this set, though, when I'm done. Covenant is such a jerk, and Linden Avery is annoying in her inability to suck it up about the past and deal with the present. The Giants are great, though. And there are some really interesting concepts (as far as how things work in The Land) that maybe will spark new ideas for my own writing. Who knows?

What is lazy lasagne?

egan said...

Do you really expect me to read that Candace? Geesh, I just look at pictures and comment on them.

Toby, Lazy Lasagna is super easy!! Heat the Oven to 350. While it's getting hot, put on some water to boil for noodles and brown some ground beef with whatever spices you want (we use stuff like oregano, garlic, seasoning salt, minced onion and basil.) Boil the noodles (rotini or ziti work nicely) and drain them. Throw the beef and noodles in a bowl, add a large can of tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes and some shredded cheese. Stir it up and pour it into a 9 x 13 pan. Top with more shredded cheese and bake for 10 minutes. DONE! :-)

Egan, I apologise Monkey Boy. Just click the links and enjoy the pretty pictures. :-)

After the skin C scare at your house, you'd better start using sunscreen!
We've been cutting a lot of brush, and have a HUGE pile of firewood. Unfortunately, it's too dry to dare having a bonfire. :(

C said...

That's good to know, Egan. }:-) In that case, come here! Sit! Good boy. . .

TSmom - you think I'd know better, huh? I was being stingy with the pray on myself since it wasn't my own. :-P Bad idea.

Oh, bummer! Don't worry, soon it will be wet and you can light that sucker up and go craaaaazy! Woo hoo! Make sure it's REALLY big so I can enjoy it from here. }:-)
