Bidibodi Bidibu

OK, Googlers. Here's the Bidibodi Bidibu link. (the song the guy in Super Troopers in playing in the stolen car.) Disc 2, #7. That's to listen to it. If you want the lyrics (as best as whomever bothered to try and transcribe them got them - just a C&P job on my part) scroll to the bottom of this post.

My older 2 are at another sleepover. This is just weird. It's awfully quiet and empty. Makes me think how awful it would be if we had stopped at just 2 kids. I'm the sort that needs to be surrounded by "pandelerium." I thrive on noise and chaos. Usually. :o)

We hit the BX/PX and commissary today. We're ready for a blizzard now. ;o) Actually, we're supposed to have flurries this week I think, but the weather guessers are rarely right, so who knows?? I got jeans at the BX cuz I shrank out of my old ones. I thought I needed to get size 10, but as it turned out, I needed size 8. Woo hoo! My pre-pregnancy size! (from all FOUR kids!!) I'm still thinking they must be sized a little generously, but I'm happy anyway!

I watched disc 1 of The Return of the King in the tub last night. I think it really helped my sore legs and bum. (Thursday night was a killer workout, followed by sparring.) I see why everyone says that's the best one. It's very well done!

Trillian is busy gnawing on the Prawn. I hope she realises that Prawn is not on the OK-to-eat list. So far it's OK. . .

On the way home from the Commissary, Mollusc and Sluggie were singing "Won't You Linger a Little Longer," a song written by our very talented friend Frank Sommers (last paragraph) and sung for the disc we have by my sister, Sheila, of Navan fame. The Prawn started singing along and doing her own lyrics as 3-year-olds will. I had to chuckle when I heard her refrain of "Won't you winger a wittew wonger wif meeeeeeeee." :o) Now THAT'S alliteration!!

Chow time. Ciao!

OMG, I am having so much fun with this post!! If you want to see the lyrics in the original German, I'm going to make you find them in the comments so you get to see what some of the brilliant (anonymous) people who have come here before have to say. ^_^

Or better yet, go here.

You may not be so thrilled about those size 8's once you read my blog entry from a couple days ago...I know I'm surely not--there aren't any 6's in my favorite style so what'll I do the next time they tweak the sizing. :-(

Cute! I'm also relieved to see it's not just my Maddy that has "creative" pronouciation!

oh and don't listen to her on the jeans - I just got back into size 10's BUT I have to say - not just new jeans. I fit into a really old pair as well.

I don't think they can possibly be the same as my old 8s, but they are definitely smaller than what I HAVE been wearing, so I'm still thrilled, LOL! And I'm fitting into shorts I couldn't wear post-Fishy (#3,) so I'm VERY happy, LOL!

I tried to read your blog, Mama Bird, but can't get in. I'll keep trying. :o)

I thinks someone Guessed these lyrics as it is a German Song and not to mention what you posted makes no damn sense.

LOL! I think it's in "Gerglish" (like Engrish or Spanglish) hence the nonsensicality of it all. Not really something one would sing along with, that's for sure.

Wow. I'm going to leave that comment up so you can showcase your stunning English skills. ^_^ (And don't try to tell me that they don't teach better grammar than that in Toronto.) What am I thinking? You probably don't know where you made your stupid mistakes. Here's a little help so you don't make quite such an ass of yourself next time you feel brave enough to go drop anonymous insults on strangers' blogs. Maybe you can try to at least get your errors down to less than one per (almost) sentence.

you are = you're (not "your," as in "your brain is the size of a pea.")

are not = aren't (see how the apostrophe (that's this little mark: ' ) fills in for the missing letters? These are called "contractions.")

It is = it's, as opposed to "its" (of or belonging to "it.")

I'm glad you knew so much about the lyrics so that you could Google them to come and tell me they were wrong. ^_^ Oh, and your (not you're ^_^) helpful addition of what you believe to be the real lyrics is most helpful. Oh, wait. You didn't provide them, LOL! ^_^

Yes, it's (not its) a German song. Bravo! At least you got that right. ^_^

Allrighty, Googlers, here are the GERMAN lyrics, which you can get by Googling "Bidibodi Bidibu German Lyrics." (No! Oh, that's not directed at you, just the Moron from Toronto up there, LOL!) Again, just a C&P job on my part. Some of the letters don't translate to Blogger font, but if you're fluent enough in German to try to sing this in German, you can probably figure them out. :)

Dort gehen Sie. Looks like someone dropped them into Babelfish for the English version, hence the zany translation. ^_^

I am german, but I can tell you this song's lyrics are NOT GERMAN.

You'll have to click the link. The some of the German letters came out as garbage in the C&P. :)

Anonymous said...

Yeah those aren't the lyrics exactly. They aren't German because you can clearly make out English words.

The Ranter said...

Well english major besides the fact that you DIDNT point out he used all caps, NO ONE F'in CARES about the grammar unless you write for a living the rest of us F'in well dont and he is right someone has wrote words that the actual german words sounds like in english. go ahead and point my spelling out IDFC! and neither does anyone else if you cant figure out what im say or what he is saying obviously you belong in english class obsessing over punctuation so you can belittle someone else and feel superior in some insignificant little way. the rest of use will go on caring about thing that actually matter!

Candace said...

Oh, I don't need to point out your many errors in order to feel superior. ^_^

OK, that was mean. Wait, I have a tissue for you here somewhere. . .

now I know it!

Haha I completely agree with Candace.

In the end, to me, the winner of any argument over the Internet is the one that is more competent and coherent with their grammar and spelling, regardless of their argument. Even if their argument is valid, I tend to not even care if they're misspelling crap as simple as "your" versus "you're." The one with the better spelling and grammar clearly put more thought and effort into their point. Plus, you don't appear to be an idiot -- that's always nice, right?

Just something to think about.
